Know all about the new OnePlus TV series here

Approximately nine months after launching its first ever TVs, the OnePlus TV Q1 series, the company has launched three more TVs, the 55U1, the 43Y1 and the 32Y1.

The OnePlus TV 55U1 is a 55” 4K LED TV which comes with Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ support and has 93% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. It runs on Android TV version 9 and like almost all the other smart televisions currently available, it comes preloaded with a host of media streaming applications like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, etc. It supports Google Assistant and also works with Amazon Alexa and it also has a built-in Chromecast with Miracast and DLNA.

The 55U1 has a 30W audio system with four speakers and Dolby Atmos support and a 95% screen to body ratio making it one of the best in the market and it measures just 6.9mm at its thinnest point which is lesser than what the new OnePlus 8 series measures. It has a metal body and comes with a carbon fiber finish over the audio system.

Now, coming to the other two models, the OnePlus TV 43Y1 is a 43” FHD LED TV while the OnePlus TV 32Y1 is a 32” HD LED TV and like the 55U1 both of them have 93% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, run on Android TV 9, come preloaded with a host of media streaming applications like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, etc., support Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and also have built-in Chromecast. Also, both of them have a 20W audio system with Dolby Audio.

All the three TVs feature a new data saver mode, mostly seen on smartphones, which lets you reduce data consumption and also gives you a warning when you exceed the limit you preset and they also feature a new kids mode which lets you control what your kids can watch or access and also lets you control their viewing time. All of them support the OnePlus Connect app too, which from now on, you can use with multiple devices at the same with the same TV.

Although these TVs aren’t the cheapest ones available currently and are competing with the offerings from Mi, TCL, Vu, etc. but for those who want a TV that offers a unique design, good performance and premium features at an acceptable price point, these TVs could be a very good choice.

The OnePlus TV 55U1 is priced at ₹49,999, the 43Y1 at ₹22,999 and the 32Y1 at ₹12,999. They will be available starting July 5, 2020 on Amazon and later at OnePlus retail stores.
